Communication strategy in the pulmonary/critical care division at the University of Colorado School of Medicine

I’m sitting in a conference room at the Westin Riverfront in Avon, CO for our division retreat. We’ve undergone a lot of changes, and this is our opportunity to get up to date and to contribute to the future direction of this academic division. We’ve hired a new communication director who is looking for ways to get our message out and to improve our visibility, including tapping various social media outlets. This is a remarkably progressive step for an otherwise stodgy and inertial division. I’m excited to get involved with this project in light of what I’ve been learning in Social Media and Digital Cultures.
